I’ll definitely be keeping an eye and will probably purchase any new expansions. I’ll probably move on to something else now or maybe fire up a hardest campaign to beat DLC on I dunno. If anyone has any specific questions I could go into more detail but just wanted to throw those impressions out for anyone who was wondering. Considering I got the base game for cheap and wanted to support the devs I have no regrets. Overall for 10 bucks it’s a pretty decent amount of content. I was hoping the last mission would be more like the last mission of the regular campaign just because it’s by far my favorite and wanted more of that but it wasn’t. If it had some challenge playing on normal with maxed out gear then it will really have some bite on hardest I’m sure. And it challenged me at times which means if I start a new campaign on hardest I could see the DLC having some fairly tough areas. I played it on normal as I wanted to finish it and see what it was about fairly quickly and had finished a hardest playthrough right before purchasing the DLC. I’ll read the dialogue later on just finished it but can’t comment on that. It’s a game I like to have on while I listen to podcasts or something. I didn’t pay that much attention to it really. It has a story I guess or I’m sure it does. It also has some cool new ideas as far as you needing to be on “offense” a bit more than the base game. It does have one new tower and one new weapon but it’s not like the base game is lacking in all that. I would have liked to have seen more in that area. It doesn’t have much in the way of new towers or weapons. It’s got a new biome (which is sort of the riftbreaker world environments). It’s more riftbreaker so obviously if you aren’t into that this isn’t going to change your mind. It sounds like a recipe for a big ball of shit but it somehow works really well.Īnyone played the Riftbreaker and if so what did you think? Anyone thinking of playing it I think it's on gamepass and pretty cheap if you want to buy on PS (I play on PS5). They cannot by resold or used in any commercial projects without EXOR Studios written consent. I came in late so I don't know exactly what it was like then but I do know the team has been busy.īase building, tower defense, twin stick shooter, RPG, RTS. The team has done a great job of adding stuff to the game patching stuff updating etc. And each time I played I learned some new things to help. My second play-through was a huge different direction than the first. Different options for electricity production, resource production, defensive options, etc. But you've got plenty of defensive base options.Īnd that's a cool thing about the game is the options. It's a bit of a tower defense game as enemies will try and destroy your base as well as you. You've got about six different weapons equipped you can cycle through. When enemies attack if it's you out in the open it's essentially a twin stick shooter. A place where we can setup all the buildings to get all the resources and things we need to survive and eventually get all those products to get back. Exploring all those locations and getting the products needed for you to be able to go back to Earth. Your goal is to create a station that gets you back to earth but to do that you're going to have to do a lot of stuff first. From there you can visit a variety of biomes each with their own unique properties. A variety of mineral deposits are there as well.

The map is filled with different crystals, flora, and fauna. You're a mech thingy and can move in all directions of a decently sized map. We made this change to allow you to use the same keyboard shortcut for both variants. Energy Walls and regular Walls now share the same menu tile.
